For everyoneFAQ & troubleshooting 🛟
Most "huh, that's weird" moments in Mochii have a one-line answer — and it's almost never a bug. Here are the questions we hear most, with the quick fix for each. If yours isn't here, the search box up top is your friend.
"My task isn't showing on the Calendar."
Nine times out of ten, the task has no due date. The Calendar only plots tasks that are due-dated — no date, no spot. Open the task, give it a due date, and it pops onto the calendar right away.
Open the task → set a due date → check the Calendar. More on this on the Calendar page.
"My tasks aren't showing up on my phone."
Two things to check. First, have you connected Google? Go to Settings → Integrations, find Google, and click Connect — that's what pushes your tasks to your devices. Second, remember which tasks sync: only tasks that are assigned to you, have a due date, and aren't deleted make the trip. A task with no due date, or one assigned to a teammate, won't appear.
Connect Google in Settings → Integrations, then make sure the task is yours and has a due date. Full details on Calendar.
The sync runs one direction — Mochii → Google. Mochii is the source of truth; Google just carries your tasks to your phone, watch, and desktop. Editing the event in Google won't change the task back in Mochii.
"Someone submitted my form but no task appeared."
A form only collects submissions while it's published. If you're still tweaking fields — or you published, then made edits — the live link may not be doing what you expect. Finish your edits, then publish again. Also double-check the form is pointed at the right project, since that's where the new task lands.
Publish the form (re-publish after any edits) and confirm it points at the right project. See Forms.
"A teammate mentioned a project, but I can't find it."
This is almost always about visibility and your role, not a glitch. A project can be private — visible only to the people invited to it. And what you can see across Mochii depends on your role: a Guest, for example, only ever sees the projects they've been invited to. If you should have access, ask the project's owner or your admin to invite you.
Ask to be invited to the project, or check where your role fits on Who can do what.
"Mochii says it can't match my account."
Don't panic and don't make a second account. This almost always means the email you signed in with doesn't match the email you were invited with. You don't sign yourself up for Mochii — an admin invites you — so the two have to line up.
Sign in with your work account (not a personal Gmail), and ask your admin to check your invite email. See Getting started.
"My menu looks different from my coworker's."
That's by design. Mochii only shows you the doors your role opens, plus whatever your team has switched on. If a teammate has an Admin or EOS section and you don't, nothing's broken — you just have a different job. If you think you're missing something you should have, your admin can adjust your role.
Nothing to fix — but the full story is on Who can do what and Getting around.
"There's no 'New Project' button for me."
Some teams only let certain roles create projects. That's a setting, not a bug. Guests, for instance, can add tasks to projects they're invited to but can't create projects of their own.
Ask your admin whether your role can create projects — details on Who can do what.
"I asked Bill a question and he said he doesn't see it."
That's Bill being honest, not broken. He's grounded in your Mochii data — projects, tasks, Rocks, Issues, L10s — and if something isn't in there, he tells you rather than making it up. He also can't see your email, files outside Mochii, or the open web.
Ask about work that actually lives in Mochii, and check the data exists. More on Bill's honest limits in Ask Bill.
"I don't have Ask Bill at all."
Bill needs an AI engine behind him, and that's an admin setup step. In Admin settings, an admin picks an AI provider and model and adds a key. Until that's done, Bill isn't live for the team.
Ask your admin to turn Bill on — the how is in Ask Bill.
"Do I have to refresh to see new notifications?"
Nope. The notification bell updates live — when a task is assigned to you, someone @mentions you, or a comment gets a reply, it lands without you reloading the page.
Quick recap
- Not on the Calendar? The task needs a due date.
- Not on your phone? Connect Google, and make sure the task is yours with a due date.
- Form made no task? The form must be published and pointed at the right project.
- Can't see a project? It's visibility / your role — ask to be invited.
- Can't sign in? Your sign-in email and your invited email must match.
- A different-looking menu, no "New Project" button, or an honest "I don't see it" from Bill are all normal, not bugs.
