Welcome to Mochii 👋
Mochii is the one spot where your team's projects, tasks, meetings, tickets, and even your AI helpers all read from the same to-do list. This manual is the friendly tour. No tech degree required.
Mochii is named after a very good dog — Chibitek's own pup, Mochii — whose name comes from mochi, the soft Japanese rice cake. (The company, Chibitek, got its name the same way: after its other dog, Chibi — Japanese for "little one.") The rice-cake idea fits the software too: something that bends and stretches to fit the way you work, instead of forcing you into someone else's box.
What Mochii actually is
Think of Mochii as your team's home base for getting things done. Most teams keep their work scattered across sticky notes, email threads, spreadsheets, and three different apps that don't talk to each other. Mochii pulls all of that into one place so everyone — and every AI helper — is looking at the same picture.
It was built for MSPs (Managed Service Providers — the companies that run IT for other businesses), but the day-to-day stuff works for any team that juggles projects, clients, and a never-ending list of tasks.
Here's what lives inside:
Work management
Projects, tasks, subtasks, comments, due dates, files, and reminders that repeat themselves so you don't have to.
The EOS module
Rocks, Issues, Scorecards, and weekly meetings — a proven way to run a company, built right in.
Automation
Set up simple "when this happens, do that" rules so the busywork runs itself.
Ask Bill
An AI helper that actually knows about your projects and can answer real questions about your work.
Integrations
Slack, Teams, Google Calendar, Asana, QuickBooks, your PSA, and more — all wired in.
Roles & safety
Five roles, careful permissions, and a tidy paper trail so the right people see the right things.
Who this manual is for
Everyone who touches Mochii — but not everyone needs everything. So we tagged each page with a tier. Read the ones that match your day, skip the rest, come back when you're curious.
| Tier | That's you if… | You'll care most about |
|---|---|---|
| Everyone | You log in to do your work — tasks, projects, comments, meetings. | Getting started, Getting around, Projects, Tasks |
| Power user | You run projects or lead a team and want the time-saving tricks. | EOS module, Ask Bill, Automation |
| Admin | You set Mochii up for everyone — people, roles, and connections. | Who can do what, Admin setup, Integrations |
You don't unlock tiers by leveling up like a video game. The tiers just tell you which pages are worth your time based on what you do. A new team member and the company owner read the same Welcome page.
How to use this manual
A few things that'll make this easier:
- The menu on the left is your map. It follows the same path as a real day in Mochii: get in, look around, do the work.
- Search (top-left box) jumps you straight to a page when you already know what you want.
- Colored boxes mean something specific — here's the decoder ring 👇
A shortcut or a smarter way to do something.
A techy word, explained like a normal human would say it.
A gotcha worth knowing before it bites you.
This part is built or being built — but not live for everyone yet. We'll never pretend a feature exists when it doesn't.
🔮 What's coming
Mochii doesn't stand still, and neither does this manual. Here's an honest, exciting look at what's on the horizon — not a promise with a hard date attached, just where things are headed.
Mochii already has a native iPhone app in beta (see On your iPhone). Next quarter, the plan is to round out the whole Apple family — iPadOS, visionOS (Apple Vision Pro), and watchOS (Apple Watch) companions — alongside taking the iPhone app out of beta.
Looking further out, over the couple of quarters after that, the plan is to explore compatibility with ambient AI hardware — the small always-listening or always-on gadgets showing up in that space — and possibly smart glasses too, in the same spirit as products like Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses. A Chibitek-made hardware device of its own is also being explored, though nothing there is decided yet.
